Sigrid Trumpy, Past Artist-in-Residence

My paintings and prints explore a combination of themes that refer to natural forms, geography, mapping and land/water mass. Using these themes I am exploring color and various material application processes. Close and direct observation and sketching while in the field exploring or hiking are used to support and inspire my work. Surface density and how that is experienced by the viewer is of particular interest to me.
