Maryland Hall Hall collaborates with numerous arts-related organizations (in addition to our Resident Company and Artist-in-Residence programs) to ensure aligned missions in our region are supported. In addition to encouraging collaborative projects among this network of arts supporters, MD Hall often provides space and technical support to local organizations for their workshops and events.

Key Creative Partners

Annapolis Film Festival

MD Hall is a proud home of the annual Annapolis Film Festival. Additionally, through a partnership with the Annapolis Film Society, and support from the Goldstein-Cunitz Center for Film & New Media at Maryland Hall, pre-release film screenings take place monthly at MD Hall. The Annapolis Film Society is dedicated to the celebration of the art of film, to using its power and magic to bring together our diverse community in thoughtful dialogue, and to partnering with other artistic organizations and business leaders to foster ongoing conversations.

Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1990 to provide young musicians in the Annapolis-Baltimore-Washington region with an opportunity to perform symphonic works from the standard repertoire, the CYSO has grown to comprise two levels of string orchestra, an intermediate level full orchestra, two levels of flute ensemble and a Wind Ensemble, in addition to the Symphony Orchestra. Approximately 200 students participate, ranging in age from 8 to 18. A professional conductor leads each of the ensembles, under the overall direction of Music Director and Symphony conductor Julien Benichou. Tours abroad are planned about every three years for older students.

Peabody Preparatory

The Peabody Preparatory of The Johns Hopkins University offers early childhood and harp ensemble courses, as well as individual instruction in guitar, harp, piano, and voice, at the Annapolis campus located in MD Hall. Children and adults of all levels of musical experience and ability work with the Preparatory’s acclaimed faculty and staff to realize their highest potential and capacity for artistic expression.

Rams Head Presents

Rams Head is a proud presenting partner at Maryland Hall. Through a growing partnership, the Rams Head team brings national touring artists to the MD Hall stage, providing their team with a larger regional venue while also bringing more diverse acts for MD Hall patrons to enjoy. Additionally, Rams Head donates $1 of every ticket sale to Maryland Hall.

VisionWorkshops

VisionWorkshops is the creative force behind a series of highly effective photography workshops for youth from underserved communities worldwide. Its mission is to provide innovative, dynamic, educational and life changing experiences for youth, using the tools of photojournalism. VisionWorkshops’ goals are to give young people a voice, challenging them to see themselves and their communities in a new light; to encourage them to explore their world through the lens of a camera; and to share their perspectives with others through the publication and exhibition of their work. Their workshops inspire youth with positive role models and with opportunities to display their photographs and writings at galleries from Annapolis to Europe to India and the Middle East.

World Artist Experiences
