Emily Davis spent her childhood experimenting with any art form she could get her hands on! While in high school, she was introduced to ceramics and discovered her love for pottery and sculpture. She continued developing her skills while attending St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she completed her Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters of Art in Teaching.

As Emily began her teaching career, she quickly developed a strong belief that teaching art was a foundational tool that empowers students to gain a clearer understanding and connect to challenging subject matter. This concept has guided her teaching career to her current position where she works with Anne Arundel County.

Over the last twelve years, Emily has continued to gain teaching and studio experiences while working at different galleries and art centers such as Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center and MD Hall for the Creative Arts. In the studio, Emily’s ceramic forms are inspired by the emotion conveyed through the human form and continues to explore the role organic shape and pattern play in emotional growth.
