Cheryl Mauck, Dance & The Art of Wellness
Cheryl Mauck has been a Dance Faculty member at Maryland Hall since 1990. Adult Intermediate Jazz Dance was the first class she offered and this class continues to be popular. Other adult classes include Pilates Mat & Barre, and Beginning Jazz Dance. Children’s dance classes conclude with an annual stage recital in front of a packed theatre. Ms Cheryl offers Jazz Ballet & Tap levels I & II, Dance & Creative Movement, Ballet Tap & Tumbling I & II, Mom & Me Rhythm Movement & Props, & Jazz Jump & Jive. Summer camps include Tiny Toes Tap & Tumbling & Ballet Broadway & Bop. Cheryl is a graduate of University of Maryland with a BA in Dance. She was a longtime teacher for Annapolis Recreation & Parks, former faculty member at Anne Arundel Community College, former board member of Maryland Council for Dance along with being a guest teacher at the 27th State Dance Festival. She has choreographed numerous musical productions for Anne Arundel Community College, Miss Anne Arundel County Pageants, and Children’s Theatre of Annapolis.

I am very fortunate to have a career that I enjoy! The most fulfilling part of my job is sharing my love for dance with my many students. My goal is to teach technique in a friendly, controlled, safe, noncompetitive atmosphere. I strive to bring out the inner dancer in all my students and always concentrate on the positive. Do what you love & success will follow. Dance is for everyone!
